McKinstry names provisional squad for Chan 2020

Uganda Cranes coach has picked 34 players from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for preparations ahead of 2020 Chan finals.

On form URA midfielder Saidi Kyeyune leads the cast along with his teammate Alionzi Nafian and Edwin Kiwanuka Bbule from Bright Stars.

There were surprise omissions from the squad – Muzamiru Mutyaba and Nicholas Kasozi who were part of the CECAFA winning side as well as Gift Ali.

The team starts training on March 1 while the league will go into break on March 7.

Uganda is pooled in Group C that has rivals Rwanda, debutants Togo and Morocco.

The bi-annual competition for players plying their trade in their respective domestic leagues will be played between April 4-25, 2020.
