Mexican Javier Martinez Espinoza is the new Vipers SC head coach the club confirmed on Monday.
The 46 year old was unveiled by the club at the club’s home, St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende by club supremo Lawrence Mulindwa.
Martinez who replaced Jorge Miguel Da Costa, a league champion spoke confidently about the task at hand after he signed a two year deal.
“I have personal and professional targets,” stated Martinez. “I am a former professional player. I always to be an example as a player,” he added.
“Now, I want to be an example to Vipers players. We have to be protagonists in the Africa Champions League. There is a target to defend the domestic league trophy. I promise to be the best.
The Mexican becomes the third foreign coach Vipers have hired after Ambrose Chukuma and Miguel Da Costa.
