Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has revealed his final 23 Uganda Premier League (UPL) stars to represent the country at the Africa Nation Championship (Chan) finals.
Uganda open their 2023 Chan campaign on Saturday against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the Algerian port city of Annaba.
Senegal and Ivory Coast complete this Group B of the home-based players tournament.
Uganda are looking to advance from the group for the first time in six attempts while DRC are pushing for their third Chan title.
To carry out the task, Micho named his best 23 after a 10-day camp in Tunisia, where the Cranes drew their three friendlies against Sudan, Cameroon and Mali.
UPL champions Vipers dominate the squad with nine players.
The Cranes have featured at Chan finals on five occasions – in 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020.
