Following the expiry of his contract at SC Villa, Mike Sserumaga has rejoined Vipers on a two year deal.
Sserumaga, who joined SC Villa in January 2016, has found playing time hard to come by under Shafik Bisaso but Vipers’ interim coach Richard Wasswa believes he still has a lot to offer at the Kitende based side.
“I know at SC Villa, he was not doing as well as he did in the past but his talent is not disputable and wants to impress at Vipers,” Wasswa said as quoted on the club website.
The experienced dead ball specialist admits he coming home having been at the club in 2010 but admits the challenge is huge for him to repay the faith vested in him.
Despite being a prodigal son at Vipers, it’s totally a new challenge and I vow to give it my best to reciprocate the club’s faith in me.
The Uganda Cup holders have already added another talented midfielder, Moses Waiswa from Vaxjo of Sweden as they look to revamp the squad after an average first round performance in the Azam Uganda Premier League.
The side are fourth on the 16 team table with 24 points, seven behind log leaders and champions KCCA.
Vipers start the Azam Uganda premier league second round with a clash against Bul FC on 7 Feb, 2017 at Kakindu stadium.
