Morley Byekwaso has with immediate effect resigned from his position as the KCCA head coach.

The gaffer announced his resignation in the aftermath of his side’s 1-0 defeat to Soltilo Bright Stars in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at Kavumba.

Kankonde missed a second half penalty to draw the game level and the manner in which he insisted on taking it is one of the reasons Byekwaso opted out.

“I blame all the players who take our penalties because I told Kankonde not to take it. We have the experts but he started quarrelling and arguing with our experts and then he suddenly misses it,” he said when asked who his first choice penalty take is.

“Penalties are missed but the let the one you trust miss it.

“I have taken my decision as a coach today to resign because am seeing player power into my team. I am not going to go on facing such situations.”

KCCA are now winless in four games in all competitions but remain second in the league five points behind leaders Villa who have played two more games.
