FUS Rabat 7-0 SC Villa
SC Villa’s continental adventure is all but over after suffering a humiliating 7-0 defeat at the hands of Morocco’s FUS Rabat in the first leg of the second round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Jogoos, who went into the game on the back of winning all their four continental fixtures scoring seven goals and conceding none but could only hold on to a clean sheet for 26 minutes.
The goal opened floodgates for six more but the first half ended 3-0 in favour of the 2010 champions.
Four more goals came in the second half to leave SC Villa’s hopes of progressing to the next stage all but extinguished.
It was more of history repeating itself as SC Villa let in five against Egypt’s Al Ahly in the 2005 CAF Champions League on their most previous continental campaign.
The Uganda Cup winners host the return leg in ten days time at Namboole seeking a 8-0 victory to progress.
