UPDF Vs Proline – Bombo Barracks Grounds

Proline coach Mujib Kasule

Proline travel to Bombo to face the UPDF on Tuesday hoping to put their weekend woes behind them.

Coach Mujib Kasule’s men succumbed to Fred Amaku’s first half goal in Kirinya-Jinja’s 1-0 victory at Lugogo on Saturday as the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) kicked off.

“We operated at 40 per cent against Kirinya,” Kasule told upl.co.ug, “They wanted it more than us. We should have been at least 2-0 in the first 13 minutes but didn’t take our chances. They got one chance and used it.”

Kirinya closed down Proline and denied them space, and it is the hosts that showed fatigue from the 51-day league break.

“Of course the long break affects us – both the players and management but now we have to forget this and plan on getting the three points against UPDF.”

Defeat left Proline a place just above relegation on 17 points from 16 matches, while coach Charles Ayiekoh’s Kirinya soured three places up to seventh on 21 points.
