Mutebi praises “near-perfect” display

Saturday result

KCCA 6-0 Masavu

KCCA put up a seamless display of attacking football at StarTimes Stadium on Saturday to pummel bottom side Masavu 6-0.

Derrick Nsibambi, Samuel Ssekamatte, Allan Kateregga, Tito Okello (double) and Patrick Kaddu were all on target as the defending champions emphatically recovered from a 2-1 defeat to SC Villa.

Manager Mike Mutebi could not have asked for more, at least on the day, from his boys.

“I could say it was a near-perfect display,” Mike told upl.co.ug after the match.

“We can still do better but in application, I can say we were above average.

“I have always believed in these players and we are not going to deviate in how we want to play.”

The victory sees KCCA, now in fourth, close the gap on pace setters Police, who lead on 16 points, to three. All teams have played eight matches.

Masavu remain rooted at the bottom with only four points.
