Asaph Mwebaze has thrown in the towel at Onduparaka less than 24 hours before the club hosts Ndejje University in the Uganda Premier League.
The former Maroons tactician who has been in charge of seven league games and two in the Fufa Super Eight made the public know of the news live on NTV.
“I’m no longer the head coach of Onduparaka FC,” the outspoken coach said. “We have mutually agreed with the club chairman Benjamin Nyakun to end our marriage or contract,” he added.
“We shall sit and agree on the modalities and make a formal announcement but at the moment my tenure with the club has ended
Mwebaze signed a three year deal at Onduparaka on August 12 and has been in charge of nine games in all competitions.
During that reign, he has won four games, lost 3 and drawn 3 although one was won in penalties.
Simeon Masaba will take charge of the Caterpillars as they seek to end a three match winless streak.
Ceaser Okhuti and Vianney Sekajugo will be tasked by the 7th placed side to look for goals while the visitors, 12th on the 16 team log with 6 points, five below Onduparaka will rely on Noel Nasasira for goals.
