MYDA relegated, Police, Soltilo Bright Stars in stalemate

MYDA have joined fellow league debutants Kitara as the two teams so confirmed for relegation.

The Tororo based side lost 6-1 at home to Bul with Joseph Semujju bagging a brace while Simon Oketch, Ibrahim Mugulusi, Musa Esenu and Deogratius Ojok scored the other goals.

The hosts’ consolation came from Rashid Mpata before half time.

With 14 points and only nine points to fight for, MYDA are 12 points behind safety.

Bul’s win lifts them to 33 points but stay 11th on the 16-team table.

At the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo, Tony Mawejje scored for Police in the ninth minute but his goal was cancelled out by a late equaliser from Joseph Janjali to snatch a point for Bright Stars.

Bright Stars remain 5th on the table with 42 points while Police are just one point behind with 40.
