Wednesday result

Ndejje University 1-0 Mbarara City

Ndejje University picked their first ever points in top flight competition as they edged Mbarara City 1-0 at the Mighty Arena of Visions on Wednesday.

Sam Matovu scored the all important goal as coach Raymond Komakech’s boys recovered from last week’s debut loss to champions Vipers.

The victory moves the newly promoted side up to eighth on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) table with three points.

Mbarara were playing their first game of the campaign after being reinstated on the fixtures.

The Western Uganda side had been provisionally scrapped off after they failed to inform authorities in time of their new home ground.

They were, however, reinstated after a successful appeal.
