Moses Basena says he is ready for the challenge after being named SC Villa coach by the interim committee.
The former SC Villa player returned to the club he coached in the early 2000s a couple of seasons after assisting then coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.
“First of all, I thank the club for yet another opportunity to coach them,” Basena told upl.co.ug. “It’s a tough challenge given the circumstances you all know at the club right now,” he added.
“But whenever there is a tough situation, you try to find solutions and that’s the aim task for me now.
The ex-Uganda Cranes tactician says the immediate task to set up a team following departure of key players in the transfer window.
For now, I would request that all players still available take the chance availed to them to stay and also those willing to join to come.
The immediate task is to set up a team that can be competitive, later challenge for good positions and then think about the title.
Basena who conducted his first training session on Monday is expected to name his technical staff before end of the week.
