Nkata coached URA until he was sacked in 2014
Paul ‘Latest’ Nkata has returned to URA as Head Coach replacing sacked Ibrahim Kirya.
Kirya was shown the exit alongside his backroom staff following a 1-1 draw with newcomers Mbarara City at Namboole.
Nkata, who was also axed at Kenya Premier League side Bandari, was introduced to the players at the Tax Collectors’ training ground in Gayaza on Wednesday.
Although the club remains unclear on the terms of contract given to the former SC Villa, Express and Tusker tactician is set to begin his reign at URA on Friday against Onduparaka.
URA find themselves sixth on the 16-team log after 14 rounds of the league played and are eleven points adrift of log leaders SC Villa who are on 31 points.
