Wednesday Fixtures

  • Kirinya Vs KCCA – The Mighty Arena, Jinja 4.30pm
  • Vipers Vs Maroons – St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 4pm (Live on TV)
  • Onduparaka Vs SC Villa – Green Light stadium, Arua 4.30m

KCCA and Vipers have no luxury of dropping points when they face Kirinya and Maroons respectively as the league returns from the international break.

The log leaders are away against a tricky Kirinya side beaming with confidence with three wins in as many previous games.

Joel Madondo will be the key player for the side that lies 8th on the log with 33 points while KCCA will rely on Allan Okello, Timothy Awany and Mike Mutyaba for inspiration.

The reverse fixture ended in a goalless draw at Lugogo while KCCA won the corresponding tie last season at Bugembe with Derrick Nsibambi scoring the winner.

At Kitende, the early kick off will see champions Vipers eager to keep pace with KCCA by winning against stubborn Maroons.

Vipers have suffered a blip losing 2-1 to Ndejje University in their last league game and also lost to Proline in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Moses Waiswa, Daniel Sserunkuma and Innocent Wafula will be key for the hosts while the visitors will look to Ronald Orombi, Pius Obuya and Solomon Walusimbi for inspiration.

Elsewhere, SC Villa visit Onduparaka in Arua targeting a return to winning ways as they seek to run away from the relegation zone.

Onduparaka also have an opportunity to complete their first ever double over the 16-time champions.
