No space for error as relegation threatened Police, Ondu face off

Friday April 08, 2022

  • MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo 4pm Live on Sanyuka TV

All roads lead to the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo where Police host Onduparaka in the only match in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on the day.

The two sides are yet to secure their status in the forthcoming season which makes the clash an enticing one to watch.

Twelfth placed Police are winless in their last four games and with 24 points; they are only above safety by three points after 23 games.

It’s the same numbers for the Caterpillars who have played one game less although an inferior goal difference means they are just below the Cops.

Muhammad Shaban and former Police forward Norman Ojik will be vital for the visitors if they are to leave Lugogo with maximum points that could lift them to 9th position on the 16-team table.

The hosts will hope forwards Frank Kalanda, Juma Balinya and Marvin Oshaba don goal scoring boots.

The reverse fixture was marred by controversy with two red cards to Police and it needed a late goal to win it for Onduparaka.

The Caterpillars have dominated this fixture winning six and losing two of the last 8 meetings.
