Saturday result

Express 0-0 KCCA

Three StarTimes Uganda Premier League title contenders are now level on points and games played after a low scoring matchday 27 ended on Saturday.

Only two goals were scored across matchday 27, with Express and KCCA also failing to improve that unenviable statistic following their goalless draw at Luzira Prison Ground.

KCCA, playing after Vipers had squandered their own chance a day earlier, also wasted theirs to open a two-point lead at the top.

As a result, KCCA move just a place up to second, but only because they have a better goal difference with Villa, who fell to third.

All three are level on 46 points, with defending champions, Vipers, topping thanks to a superior goal difference.

The title chasing trio have all played 25 games, and are left with three each to determine who wins the 2022/23 league champions.

KCCA and Vipers have shared the title between themselves since 2013, with only Express, who are now 10th on 31 points, interrupting them in 2021.
