KCCA manager Mike Mutebi has come out to dispel speculation that star striker Derrick Nsibambi could have slipped through their hands.
Mutebi reaffirmed this week that Nsibambi is still a registered KCCA player and will be vital in the club’s continental engagements when the Caf Champions League starts in February.
The manager, however, admitted that the striker did not have his mind in one place, saying that the boy was ‘misguided by self-centered agents.’
“Nsibambi has not reported to training since the Cecafa Cup in December but he is still our player,” said Mutebi.
“We shall definitely punish him when he returns,” he added.
Elsewhere, KCCA are set to replace AWOL striker Tito Okello, who netted five goals in the league first round, with academy graduate Sadat Anaku.
