Saturday April 9, 2016 Vipers Vs Soana – Buikwe @ 4pm
After failing to collect maximum points from their previous two outings, Vipers Coach George ‘Best’ Nsimbe has dubbed the tie against Soana as a must win.
The champions host the Car Dealers at Buikwe on Saturday seeking victory to stay in touching distance with runaway leaders KCCA who have a relatively easy fixture against Maroons at home on the same day.
Vipers have won none of their last two games drawing 2-2 against SC Villa and goalless with Police and they are behind KCCA by eight points although they have played one game less.
“It’s entirely out of our hands but we must start winning games,” Nsimbe told upl.co.ug. “We need to win each of our games to stand a chance and to us, every game is a final now,” he added.
Against Soana who have scored nine goals in their previous two league games, Vipers must defend with resilience if they are to pick maximum points.
Up front, Erisa Ssekisambu will have to be at his best to trouble the backline commanded by skipper Timothy Musinguzi.
Soana sits sixth on the log with 34 points but just two adrift of second placed Vipers.
