Nyamityobora and Police finally won a football match in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL).

Having lost all their first three matches, Nyamityobora finally saw off Mbarara 2-1 in the Western Uganda derby played at Wankulukuku on Wednesday .

Joseph Akandwanaho and Charles Musiige netted for Nyamityobora while Hillary Mukundane got Mbarara’s consolation.

The victory moves Nyamityobora to third from bottom with three points. Mbarara stay seventh on six points.

In Luwero, Police picked their first win in four matches when they edged the hosts 2-1.

Ronald Nyanzi and Juma Balinya were on target for the cops while Dickens Kilama got Ndejje’s consolations.

The victory moved Police out of relegation in 13th with three points, same as Ndejje, who are two spots above them on goal difference.

At Luzira, Maroons also picked their first point of the season in the 1-1 draw with URA.

Rashid Agau scored the hosts’ goal while Joakim Ojera struck for URA.
