- SC Villa Vs Proline – Masaka Recreation Ground 4.30pm
SC Villa have an opportunity to keep their lead at top intact when they host Proline at Masaka Recreation Ground on Wednesday.
The Jogoos who went into the break five points clear at the summit have all odds in their favour against Mujib Kasule’s charges.
Proline have won just once against the 16-time league champions since 2011 and have lost five of their previous six league outings against the Blues.
“It will be tough against a good side with a decent record at home but we can pick points,” said Baker Mbowa, Proline assistant coach.
Besides the abysmal record for the visitors, SC Villa are yet to lose a point at home and have only conceded once at home this season.
A win for Wasswa Bbosa’s side will ensure they end the first round on top of the log regardless of what happens in their last first round visit to Kirinya Jinja SS.
Allan Kyambadde, Ambrose Kirya and Martin Kizza will dictate the tempo for the hosts but they must watch out for Fahad Bayo who leads the goal scoring charts for the 9th placed Proline.
