Express tactician James Odoch and SC Villa forward Charles Bbaale are Pilsner’s coach and player of the month of April respectively.

The two were confirmed and awarded at a ceremony held at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo, Kampala on Thursday evening.

Odoch beat off competition from coaches Alex Isabirye of Vipers SC and Villa’s Jackson Magera.

Magera came into this having won January and February/March accolades.

Of the four league games Express played in April, Odoch led the Red Eagles to two wins and two draws.

Vipers Isabirye also guided Vipers to the same eight points in his first four games in April.

The Venoms, however, played two more in the month where they claimed their third win and registered a loss.

Villa’s Magera won two and lost the other of their first four games in April.

The Jogoos ended the month with their third win, beating Vipers 1-0.

There is emphasis on the first four games of the month because Express played only four, while Villa and Vipers were in action five and six times respectively.

On the playing side, Villa attacker Bbaale comfortably sailed to the gong, which comes with Shs1m each for both the winning player and coach.

Bbaale beat Arua Hill’s Innocent Media and Shariph Kimbowa from Wakiso Giants.

The striker scored five goals in as many matches as Villa picked nine from a possible 15 points in April. Media and Kimbowa scored three goals each.
