SC Villa striker Emmanuel Okwi has returned to the national team fold after Cranes Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic included him in the side to face Eastern Region in the Regional Tour.

The centre forward, who has scored seven goals in as many games since re-joining the club in the January window, leads the squad that has several Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) that omits KCCA and Vipers players due to continental engagements.

There are several new faces on the team from the league with Police duo of left back Arafat Galiwango and Hood Kaweesa earning their first ever national team call up and so are Onduparaka’s Living Kabon among others.

Proline’s Savio Kabugo and Nelson Ssenkatuka return to the fold and so does Express skipper Ibrahim Saddam Juma and Onduparaka’s Rashid Toha.

The Cranes face off against Eastern Region at Kamuli on Sunday March 19, less than a week before they fly to Kenya for an international friendly against the Harambee Stars on Thursday March 24 at Nyayo stadium.
