UPDF 0-3 Kitara

Denis Omedi scored a hat-trick as Kitara picked from where they left in the first round to go second on the table.

The Royals thrashed UPDF 3-0 away in Bombo on Saturday to move to 32 points, just two behind leaders BUL, both teams having played 16 matches each.

Kitara, one of the three teams promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season, ended the first round with a 3-1 win over Soltilo Bright Stars.

Omedi made sure that continued on Saturday, scoring his first, second and third goals of the day on 57, 66 and 88 minutes.

The Pilsner Man of the Match has now scored eight goals, one and two behind Maroons’ Fred Amaku and Bright Stars’ Nelson Senkatuka respectively.

UPDF, who have now lost a massive 11 in 16 matches, remain second from bottom on nine points.

Matchday 17 kicks off next Tuesday through to Saturday.
