Express 0-2 Onduparaka

Express lost their first home StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) match this season when they fell 2-0 to Onduparaka on Saturday.

Gibson Adinho and Caesar Okhuti scored for Onduparaka as the West Nile side played out their first physical victory of the season.

Adinho, who was declared Pilsner Man of the Match, opened the account on 26 minutes before Okhuti made sure of all points on 57 minutes.

Onduparaka did have three points already coming into this game played at Wankulukuku but the said marks were awarded after Police failed to turn up for their season opener.

Victory takes coach Livingstone Mbabazi’s side, Onduparaka, top of the standings on goal difference with six points.

Express’ first defeat at home will intensity pressure on coach George Ssimwogerere.

This is the second defeat in three matches for the Red Eagles, the first having come on the opening day away to Bul.

Their only point was picked in the 1-1 draw with Bright Stars and the latest result leaves Express third from bottom of a 16-team league.
