AUPL result
Onduparaka 0-0 Vipers
Onduparaka and Vipers played out a goalless stalemate in Arua on Saturday but it was enough for the hosts to return to the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) summit.
The result, which continued Onduparaka’s top flight unbeaten home record, moved the new table leaders to 14 points, one more than second-placed Police.
Vipers and SC Villa, who beat KCCA 2-1 in Masaka, are level on 12 points, but the former lie third thanks to a better goal difference.
It was a scrappy affair at Onduparaka’s Green Light Stadium, with Rashid Muhamed and Rajab Kakooza for the hosts and Deus Bukenya, Nicholas Wadada and Milton Karisa for Vipers all getting into the referee’s book.
But in the end, there was nothing to separate coach Livingston Mbabazi and Miguel da Costa’s men.
