Onduparaka 3-0 Tooro
Onduparaka moved two places up to third on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL) log after thrashing Tooro 3-0 at the Greenlight Stadium in Arua on Wednesday.
Former KJT and Vipers striker Julius Malingumu gave Onduparaka the lead on 19 minutes after capitalizing on a poor pass from Isa Lumu.
Gadaffi Wahab made it 2-0 for the hosts from the penalty spot after Arthur Kiggundu brought down Geriga Atendere for a comfortable halftime lead.
Gibson Adhino put it beyond doubt on the hour with the third goal as coach Livingstone Mbabazi’s men claimed their sixth win in 10 games this season.
The result ended a run of three games without a win for Onduparaka.
They now move to 19 points, five behind leaders Vipers and nine ahead of Tooro in 12th place.
