Paidha Black Angels complete AUPL promoted trio

  • Paidha BA 0-0 Kitara (PBA win 4-2 on penalties)

Paidha Black Angels joined Nyamityoboora and Ndejje University as the three promoted sides to the Uganda Premier League after edging Kitara 4-2 in a tense penalty shootout in the Fufa Big League play off.

The two sides entertained the crowd in a goalless stalemate in 90 minutes before the game was decided by penalties.

Either side should have won it but the created goal scoring opportunities were wasted.

Kitara had Serial Komakech to blame for missing a couple of sitters while PBA missed opportunities through Yuda Mugalu.

In the shootout, the West Nile side scored through Yusuf Ssozi, second half substitute Andrew Kidega, Yudah Mugalu and another substitute Ceaser Olega.

Ivan Kyotelekera and Samuel Adibo scored for Kitara; Billy Herbert “Counsel” Alinda blasted his kick over the bar whilst Rogers Lukwiya’s effort was tipped over by PBA goalie Odong to send the fans into frenzy.

Ndejje Champions

In the other game on the day, Ndejje University beat Nyamityoboora 1-0 to win the second country’s tier.

Noel Nasasira scored the lone goal in the first half that earned the Lions 10 million as Prize Money from the Fufa.
