Paidha Black Angels 0-2 KCCA
Paidha Black Angels are the first side to be relegated from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) this season.
The West Nile outfit fell 2-0 to KCCA on Tuesday at Borokoro Stadium in Zombo to mathematically confirm their relegation.
Muzamiru Mutyaba’s strike and Patrick Kaddu’s late penalty were the daggers that ended Paidha’s top-flight status with four matches to go.
The goals were also enough for KCCA to open a seven-point lead at the top; at least until second-placed Vipers face Mbarara on Wednesday.
The 12-time league champions, KCCA, now have 56 points, with Vipers on 49.
This was Paidha’s 18th defeat in 26 matches, which kept them at the bottom of the table with just 12 points.
The result confirmed that even if Paidha won their remaining four games, they would not overtake Maroons, who are a place above relegation on 26 points.
