BUL 3-0 Maroons

NEC 2-0 UPDF

It is early days but BUL’s claim of contender of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) title is being emphasised every matchday.

The table leaders made it four wins out of as many matches on Friday when they resoundingly saw off Maroons 3-0 at the Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru.

A Jacob Okao own goal and brace from Pilsner Man of the Match, Alex Kitata, saw Abbey Kikomeko’s side stay top of the league on a goal difference of one from the equally perfect Kitara, who thrashed KCCA 3-1.

Both BUL and Kitara have 12 points apiece four matches into the 2023/24 season, with Maroons – who have won two out of four matches – sixth on seven.

Elsewhere, NEC recovered from their previous 3-0 defeat to SC Villa to beat UPDF 2-0 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, in the capital Kampala.

Cromwel Rwothomio and Enock Ssebagala scored for the hosts on 28 and 48 minutes for NEC’s third win in four matches.

The victory moves them three places up to third on nine points while winless UPDF are third from bottom on one point.
