Police coach Abdallah Mubiru wants Hood Kaweesa’s transfer to Zambia’s Buildcon.

Kaweesa, the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) leading scorer with 7 goals in the first round reportedly joined the Zambian side at a fee around $ 35,000.

“We lost Hood (Kaweesa) and we shall miss him,” Mubiru told Swift Sports. “But we wish him the best,” he added.

“He set a good example for the rest of the players because he went at a good fee.

The gaffer also says the replacements for the big centre forward who made his national team debut in CECAFA 2017 are already lined up but from within

“We have many players who are good enough to take up the task,” he said. “Norman Ogik and Basan Safi are some of them. We are also on the verge of signing Pius Kaggwa formerly at Synergy and Luzinda Mufti formerly of Kibuli SS,” he further revealed.

Meanwhile, the club are also in talks with Vipers over a possible loan move for Ashraf Mandela who hasn’t got enough playing time at the club.

“We are also in talks with Vipers SC for Ashraf Mandela on a loan deal,” asserts Mubiru.

Besides Hood Kaweesa, the 2005 champions also parted ways with midfielders Yasin Mugume and Gift Ali.
