Police 1-0 Simba
Police won their first match in six attempts as they overcame Simba 1-0 at Kavumba on Friday.
Peter Ssenyonjo scored the all-important goal on the stroke of half-time to bring coach Sam Timbe’s men into winning ways again.
Victory sees the Cops, who also won the reverse fixture by the same scoreline, jump four places up to sixth on the Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) table with 38 points.
Defeat further compounds Simba’s woes, leaving the army side third from bottom with just 22 points, with only four games left.
Police’s last victory before Friday had come a month ago. They had since drawn three and lost two fixtures.
