Police 3-1 Onduparaka

UPDF 2-0 Mbarara City

Police recovered from their 3-2 controversial defeat to Vipers last week to thrash Onduparaka 3-1 at Lugogo on Wednesday.

The match had two brilliant goals from from either side.

Striker Johnson Odong first gave Police the lead through a penalty on 25 minutes.

But it was Onduparaka midfielder Emmanuel Okech who had the few fans off their bottoms with his 51st minute equaliser.

Okech waltzed past half of the Police defenders before deliciously curling the ball beyond Tom Ikara in the Cops goal.

Police left back Eric Ssenjobe would not be left out of the headlines, weighing in with an overhead kick goal that restored the hosts’ lead.

The stage was set for Odong to seal the three points for Police after being put through by Brian Mululi six minutes from full time.

The victory sees second-placed Police move to 19 points, two behind Vipers.

At Bombo, Kefa Kisala’s UPDF got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory of Mbarara City.

The two Brians, Kalumba and Kayanja, scored the goals.
