Police 1-1 SC Villa
Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) outfits Police and SC Villa played out a 1-1 draw as the latter dropped their first points of the season at Namboole on Saturday afternoon.
Godfrey Lwesibawa had given Wasswa Bbosa’s Villa the lead before Hood Kaweesa intervened to ensure the cops, who benefitted from a ruling that Masavu lost Tuesday’s game by forfeiture, remain top of the 16-team log – on goal difference – with four points.
Villa – also on four points – took the lead when they broke a Police attack, Bernard Muwanga weighing a cross-field pass Allan Kyambadde, who dribbled down the left and laid on the ball for an onrushing Lwesibawa to tap home on 30 minutes.
Police leveled 15 minutes from full time, Rahmat Senfuka passing to Juma Balinya, who dribbled past Musa Mukasa.
Balinya then played on a calculated pass to Hood Kaweesa, who controlled with his left and looped over the advancing goalie visitors’ goalkeeper.
The two sides return to action on Friday and Saturday respectively, Police hosting Proline and Villa travelling to Vipers.
