Police leave it late

SUPL Friday result

Police 1-0 Kyetume

Police continued their superb second round form with yet another win, although this 1-0 victory over Kyetume was a tone lower than their annihilating of Express mid-week.

And it took an injury time penalty from Herman Wasswa to overcome the visitors at the StarTimes Stadium in the lunchtime kick-off.

Police, who spent the entire first round of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) neigbouring Proline at the 16-team table basement, are now ninth on 21 points.

Kyetume, who drew 1-1 with Tooro United in their previous outing, are four places below on 17 points.

Coach Abdallah Mubiru’s Police came into this one on the back of a 6-1 humbling of six-time league winners, Express, at the same venue mid-week, and going by their recent form, relegation surely might not be one of their problems.
