  • Police Vs Maroons – Mandela National stadium, Namboole 4pm
Norman Ogik is likely to start against Maroons

Abdallah Mubiru and Asaph Mwebaze are optimistic of a good result when Police hosts Maroons at Mandela National stadium, Namboole on Tuesday.

In a league match dubbed ‘derby of forces’, the two sides face off in good form with each winning two games in succession coming into the game.

“They are good a side and come into the game in good form,” said Mubiru on Proline. “It makes it even tougher since it’s a derby of sorts,” he added.

“But we are optimistic of picking another good result at home.

Asaph Mwebaze is confident of picking another win on the road basing on the record so far.

“We are ready for the game against a side on form,” he said. “It will be tough but our decent record against Cops gives us optimism,” he added.

Police will keep their summit position with victory while Maroons can move up to second with maximum points if Onduparaka falters at home against Mbarara City.
