Myda 1-3 Police

URA 0-0 Soltilo Bright Stars

Police registered their first victory of the 2020/21 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season with a comfortable 3-1 away win over newcomers Myda on Tuesday.

After their opening day goalless draw with Wakiso Giants, coach Abdallah Mubiru’s Police were in good form at King George IV Stadium in Tororo.

The visitors went ahead in the first minute when Man of the Match, Ben Ochen, scored the season’s quickest goal.

The visitors made it 2-0 for Police through Eric Ssenjobe before the hosts had a glimmer of home when they pulled one back through Ibrahim Nsimbe five minutes from half time.

But Ochen struck again, further stretching the game away from Myda on 68 minutes.

The victory moves Police to four points from two games.

Elsewhere, URA played out a goalless draw with Soltilo Bright Stars in Ndejje.

A bad Joseph Janjali miss from two yards put cost to Bright Stars chances while two handball incidents were waved away for URA by ref Alex Muhabi.

Brian Majwega and Michael Birungi also struck the bar for URA.
