- Bright Stars Vs Police, Champions Stadium-Mwererwe 4:30 pm
Former league champions Police take on Bright Stars wary of their decent home record.
The Stars have only lost once at Champions stadium, Mwererwe this campaign and Paul Kiwanuka, the Bright Stars assistant coach says they have no choice but beat Police and return to winning ways.
“We lost three points in the previous game”, said Kiwanuka. “We take on a team in 3rd place, full on confidence after a good start to the season but we are ready,” he added.
“It will be a difficult game but playing at home gives us confidence to win the game.
Abdallah Mubiru, the Police coach, whose side lost their last game 1-0 to Bul says they are wary of the ‘hostile’ environment at Matugga.
“They play at one of the most intimidating grounds by our standards and it will be tough,” he said. “But we want to be competitive and at the end, target maximum points,” he added.
Nelson Senkatuka remains a doubt for the game for Bright Stars and so is Hood Kaweesa and Aggrey Madoi for Police as they only returned from CECAFA on Monday.
In addition, the Cops will miss the services of injured Denis Bigala, Safi Basan and Juma Balinya.
The previous eight meetings have ended in four draws and two wins for either.
