- Ethiopia Vs Uganda – Hawassa
Eleven Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) players have been named on the national team to face Ethiopia in an international friendly on Saturday.
The team which leaves on Thursday for the tie in Awassa has two local based goalkeepers, two defenders, three midfielders and four strikers.
The goalkeepers are Said Keni (Proline) and Ismail Watenga (Vipers), the defenders are Proline’s Savio Kabugo and Vipers’ Nicholas Wadada, the midfielders are Bernard Muwanga, Martin Kizza (SC Villa) plus Deus Bukenya (Vipers).
Emmanuel Okwi, scorer of 12 league goals joins Muhammad Shaban (Onduparaka), Milton Karisa (Vipers) and Proline’s Nelson Senkatuka.
The Cranes will also face Senegal in another friendly on June 6 before the qualifier against Cape Verde on June 10.
