Proline 0-0 SC Villa

Sadolin Paints 3-0 Bright Stars

SC Villa drew their fourth game since the commencement of the second round of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) to leave their title chances very thin.

In a one sided encounter at Phillip Omondi stadium, Lugogo, the visitors were the better team against Proline but were lethargic in front of goal as the hosts snatched a vital point.

Emmanuel Okwi, who prior to the game had netted in three successive games missed some opportunities to increase his tally and so did Ambrose Kirya, Martin Kizza and substitute Umar Kasumba.

The draw leaves Wasswa Bbosa’s side second on the table with 38 points, 3 behind KCCA who have a two game advantage over the Jogoos.

At Namboole, Sadolin Paints picked their first maximum points of the second round with a convincing 3-0 win over visiting Bright Stars.

Swaiffi Nasser Basami bagged a first half brace for the Painters scoring in the 23rd and 36th minute before experienced Jamal Sijjali put the icing on the cake with a third, 16 minutes to the final whistle.

The win lifted the side to 12th with 20 points while Bright Stars, coached by Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach, Fred Kajoba remains stuck in 7th with five points better.

The league takes a break until Tuesday March 7 when it returns with five matches on card.
