League returnees, Proline, sent a message that they be will no pushovers in the upcoming Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) by dispatching hosts KCCA to lift the inaugural Phillip Omondi Pre-Season Invitational Tournament at the weekend.
They saw off KCCA 3-1 in the final game on Sunday to finish the two-day event with eight points.
Gift Ali, Joseph Mandela and Edirisa Lubega were on the score sheet for Baker Mbowa’s charges while Derrick Nsibambi got KCCA’s consolation.
Proline had on Saturday drawn 1-1 with Lweza to earn two points (each goal warranted a point) while KCCA had posted a similar result against Soana before losing in the shootout.
In the first game on Sunday, Soana were beaten 1-0 by Lweza courtesy of Karim Ndugwa lone strike.
