JMC Hippos 1-2 Proline
Police 0-1 The Saints
Proline are finally off the mark following their hard-fought 2-1 victory over JMC Hippos in an Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) match played at Kakindu on Tuesday.
Edrisa Lubega scored the winner for coach Mujub Kasule’s side as they registered their first maximum points in seven attempts.
Daniel Nsiagi gave Proline the lead on seven minutes but it was cancelled out by Moses Batali 10 minutes later.
The game was tight for the reminder of the opening period but Proline continued probing after recess and got their reward on 65 minutes, Lubega pouncing for all three points.
The victory has Proline in 11th place with eight points while defeat keeps JMC rooted at the bottom with just two.
At Kavumba, Moses Basena’s Saints made it two successive wins with a 1-0 victory over Police, the same scoreline registered against Kirinya Jinja last week.
Ezekiel Kakande’s 40th minute goal was enough to see the Saints move up to sixth on 10 points. Police are second from bottom with five.
