Proline 3-0 Mbarara City
Proline condemned new league entrants Mbarara City to their successive defeat with a comfortable 3-0 win at Lugogo.
Fahad Bayo, Sula Matovu and Joseph Mandela scored the goals for the hosts who have now won two games on the bounce.
Bayo opened the scoring inside four minutes when he headed home Matovu cross from the left before the former Kaizer Chiefs winger turned scorer 19 minutes later.
The first half ended with the hosts 2-0 up but it could have been worse if Matovu hadn’t missed two goal scoring opportunities – the first, sending a shot at the foot of Ali Kimera and then shooting wide from close range when clear on goal.
The visitors improved after the break but Mandela put the game to bed with an easy header after Bayo cross beat Kimera to extend the lead.
There was also time for Mujib Kasule’s side to hit the base of the post after a mix up in Mbarara City defence manned by veterans Asuman Buyinza and Asuman Alishe.
The win lifted the Wandegeya based side to 4th on the log with seven points while Vialli Bainomugisha’s charges drop to 12th with 5 points.
