Red Eagles begin new dawn against URA

Tuesday 02 October

  • Express FC Vs URA – Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku 4.30pm

After missing out on match day one, Express commence their 2018/19 campaign with a home date against URA at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

The Red eagles were supposed to open their season with an away tie against Mbarara City but the latter’s failure to fulfil some pre-licensing requirements saw the fixture off.

The hosts will be eager to begin on a winning note under new leadership of Kiryowa Kiwanuka and technical staff led by their former player, Kefa Kisala.

But they will be wary of the Tax Collectors who got off to a flying start with a 2-0 win over Paidha Black Angels.

The hosts will rely on Tony Odur, Ibrahim Kayiwa and the new kid Eric Kambale while Vitalis Tabu, Shafik Kagimu and Said Kyeyune will be tasked with unlocking the hosts defence.

Last season, both games ended in stalemates; goalless at Wankulukuku and 1-1 at Namboole.
