Revita adds to KCCA’s cast of new stars

Express and Uganda Cranes defender John Revita made it three signings in six days for Premier League champions KCCA as the 13-time winners continued shaping up their squad ahead of the new season and continental representation.

Details of the deal were not revealed in a video the club circulated on social media welcoming the stylish and pony-tailed player, Revita.

Revita joins Simon Sserunkuma and Erisa Ssekisambu as the other players to sign for the club in a space of six days. He joined as a free agent after failing to agree to a new deal with former club KCCA.

The defender is highly rated and is seen as the perfect replacement for Timothy Awany, who moved to Israeli club, Ashdod FC.

Earlier, Sserunkuma had signed for KCCA on a two-year deal from Tooro United on an undisclosed fee.

Before that, former Vipers and Gor Mahia forward Sekisambu had also put pen to paper with KCCA on a one-year deal.

Elsewhere, KCCA also announced a list of players that have either been released, loaned or not had their contracts renewed.

The released players are Musa Esenu and Muwadda Mawejje, who only served a year each on their two-years contracts.

Midfielder Isaac Kirabira had run down his contract and the club decided against renewing it.

Four players have been loaned out to other clubs for a year each and they include goalkeeper Tom Ikara to Mbarara City, defender Walter Ochora to Bul and defender Muwanga Bernard to Proline.  Goalkeeper Hassan Matovu’s stint at Proline has also been extended by another year.
