Right back Okot joins Vipers

Fred Okot

Fred Okot has completed his transfer from URA to Vipers on a free transfer.

The move was announced by his new employers on the club’s official website who have now made five signings just before the official opening of the window.

The U-20 international is a marauding right back who is viewed as a perfect replacement for departing team captain Nicholas Wadada who has joined Azam of Tanzania.

Other new signings at the league champions include Rahmat Ssenfuka Kigongo, Ibrahim Kiyemba, Bashir Sekagya and Livingston Mulondo from Police, SC Villa, UPDF and Kirinya Jinja SS respectively.

They are expected to make their debuts in the forthcoming CECAFA Kagame Cup due in Dar es Salaam later this month.

The Venoms are poised to let go of not only Wadada but goalie James Alitho, Deus Bukenya, Shafik Bakaki, Erisa Sekisambu and Tony Odur among others.
