SC Villa Vs The Saints – Nakivubo Stadium, 4:30 pm
SC Villa are convinced that all they can play for in their remaining Azam Uganda Premier League (UPL) matches is pride, as their coach Ibrahim Kirya admitted recently.
But against the Saints on Tuesday, the Jogoos face a coach Moses Basena team that is desperate for victory to keep survival in their own hands.
If Villa win their remaining six matches, they move to 54 points. But for them to even dare to dream about their title prospects, KCCA, Express and Vipers will have to lose their remaining matches, which is improbable.
For the Saints – five points above relegation – the equation is clear. Win their next two and they are safe.
Against the Saints, Yasin Mugabi, Ivan Kiweewa, Fahad Kawooya and former Villa skipper Isaac Kirabira will be facing former employers.
The Saints will again look to rejuvenated striker Alex Kitata for goals as they continue their remarkable second round of the campaign, while reborn Umar Kasumba and Mike Sserumaga should continue their fine form for Jogoos.
Saints coach, Basena, will count on the experience of goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi, Owen Kasule, Patrick Ssenfuka, Yasin Mugume and Isaac Sserunkuuma among others to live another day.
