Vipers SC lost further ground on StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) leaders KCCA when they dropped two points at Bright Stars in Mwererwe on Saturday.

The champions are second on the log with 26 points, seven behind KCCA, following their goalless draw with Bright Stars.

They have, however, played two matches fewer than the leaders.

Coach Fred Kajoba’s Bright Stars remain in seventh with 20 points.

At Namboole, the storyline just reminded us that SC Villa indeed remain a work in progress.

The struggling 16-time record champions suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Bul to drop one closest to relegation in 13th with as many points after 14 matches.

Jean Pierre Kambale Muhindo scored the game’s all-important goal on 16 minutes as Bul recorded  their sixth win to move three up to fifth on 22 points.

Elsewhere, Joel Madondo scored his ninth goal of the campaign from the spot on 47 minutes to cancel out Said Kyeyune lead as Kirinya-Jinja and URA played out a one-all draw in the East.
