SC Villa 1-1 Bright Stars
SC Villa and Bright Stars played out a one-all draw at the Mandela National Stadium Namboole on Wednesday as coach Douglas Bamweyana’s Jogoos continued struggling for good form.
This result moved Villa just above Maroons with 15 points and three ahead of Nyamityobora, who occupy the final relegation spot after 17 games.
Bashir Mutanda’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) leading 11th goal of the season gave Villa early good signs but Alfred Onek struck back for Fred Kajoba’s Bright Stars at the strike of half time.
There was also a moment of madness late on when SC Villa fans threw plastic seats onto the pitch as they disputed one of the decisions from referee George Olem.
