Soltilo Bright Stars 0-1 SC Villa
SC Villa continued their steady start to the 2022/23 StarTimes Uganda Premier League (SUPL) season with yet another gritty victory to return to second place on the table on Saturday.
Charles Bbaale scored the game’s only goal and his third of the season five minutes after the break as the Jogoos edged Soltilo Bright Stars 1-0 at Kavumba Recreation Grounds.
The win, Villa’s fourth in six games, has them back in second place on 13 points, one behind leaders BUL.
For coach Asaph Mwebaze’s Bright Stars, this was their first defeat in six matches, the other five all ending in draws. It keeps them in 10th place with five points. The league has 15 teams.
Villa’s next game is at home to Wakiso Giants next Friday while Bright Stars host Onduparaka.
