SC Villa overcame 10-man Bright Stars at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku to storm the round of 16 of Stanbic Uganda Cup.
George Senkaaba and Godfrey Lwesibawa were on target for the Blues in the first half in what was a repeat of a league game played three days earlier.
Senkaaba got at the end of the ball that goalie Benson Wagima parried into his path following a long range effort from Martin Kizza in the 17 the minute.
The lead was extended twenty minutes later when Lwesibawa scored from close range after some good work in the opposition area.
The last 16 has eight teams from the Azam Uganda Premier League including holders KCCA but only four past competition winners.
